A two-component version was developed. In the late 2000s, tests were conducted at Örebro University Hospital regarding spore-forming bacteria. The tests were highly successful, and XINIX obtained its first EN standard. Subsequently, five more EN standards were achieved, providing evidence and proof of the products' effectiveness.
Our chief chemist, Robert Heinrich, was hired, and he further developed hand sanitizers and other products for various purposes, such as surface disinfection. Robert also stabilized the products, which, among other things, gave them a longer shelf life.
The business moved to the Arninge industrial area, outside Stockholm, where we are located today.

In the early 2000s, many requests came from aid organizations; disasters that occurred led to close cooperation with, among others, MSB and UN organizations.
Peter Holmberg, our current CEO, joined the expanding business.
1992 | How It Started
XiniX AB was founded almost 30 years ago by Göran Holmberg, father of the current CEO Peter Homberg.
Göran worked internationally and saw a need for a simple water disinfectant to take with him when he travelled around the world. Together with an innovator, he developed AquaCare, based on a proprietary stabilised chlorine dioxide.
The first 10 years were spent on product development and for his own use.
