Hygiene throughout the organization

Hotels, restaurants, industrial kitchens and food businesses have many different hygiene requirements under the same roof. Drinking water must be safe, kitchens and work surfaces must be kept hygienic and shared environments need to be managed in a way that reduces the risk of infection spread.

At the same time, complex water systems, damp environments and hard-to-reach surfaces can create conditions for bacteria and biofilm.

FreeBact® offers the opportunity to work with water, surfaces, water systems and entire enclosed spaces with solutions tailored to the business's needs. Xinix's product portfolio covers exactly these four areas.

Common challenges

Water and water systems
Stagnant water, tanks, pipes and complex potable water systems can create environments where bacteria and biofilm can establish themselves. Legionella is a particularly relevant issue in larger buildings and water systems. FreeBact® Dosage has been developed for continuous treatment of potable water systems and other applications, as well as for controlling Legionella and biofilm.

Kitchens and food environments
Work surfaces, utensils, machinery and other contact surfaces are used intensively and require consistent hygiene. The current Xinix pages highlight kitchenware, food preparation surfaces and storage areas as relevant applications.

High-traffic areas and contact surfaces
Hotels and restaurants have a constant flow of guests, staff and suppliers. Door handles, work surfaces, bathrooms, common areas and other frequently touched surfaces must therefore be easy to keep hygienic.

Hard-to-reach areas
Restaurant kitchens, cold rooms and other enclosed environments contain surfaces that can be time-consuming to access manually. FreeBact® Fogging is designed for comprehensive treatment of enclosed spaces, with restaurant kitchens and cold rooms specifically listed as applications. The system complies with EN 17272.

FROM ONE PERSON TO GREATER ACHIEVEMENTS

The same principle, regardless of scale

The need for safe drinking water can look completely different depending on the situation.

An individual or family may need to treat a few liters of water at a time. Temporary housing, a healthcare facility, an evacuation center, or a larger aid effort may require hundreds or thousands of liters per day.

FreeBact® Water can be used for different volumes and makes it possible to scale the treatment according to actual needs.

This means that the same basic principle can be used for both small, decentralized efforts and for larger organized water supply.

From personal water treatment to larger volumes, without making the solution unnecessarily complicated.

FROM ACUTE RELIEF TO RECONSTRUCTION

The need for safe water doesn't end when the disaster is over

The initial acute phase often receives the most attention, but damaged wells, pipelines, and waterworks can take weeks or months to restore.

Meanwhile, people still need to drink, cook, and manage their daily lives. Schools, healthcare facilities, temporary shelters, and entire communities may require alternative solutions for their water supply.

FreeBact® Water can be used both during the acute response and while infrastructure is being rebuilt. The treatment can be adapted for smaller containers and tanks, as well as larger local water volumes.

A solution for the first critical days, but also for the journey back to a functioning daily life.

320,000 litres of safe drinking water to Ukraine

In August 2023, Xinix sent a pallet of 3,200 FreeBact® Water Extreme to Ukraine via the Swedish aid organization ISSU.

Each bottle can treat up to 100 liters of water. This means that a single pallet corresponds to up to 320,000 liters of safe drinking water. The delivery is intended for humanitarian efforts in Ukraine, including in areas near the front lines.

By treating existing water on-site, the need to transport large quantities of bottled water can be reduced, an important advantage where logistics, infrastructure, and access to safe water are limited.

WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO HELP

Humanitarian Pricing for Disaster and Emergency Preparedness

We are a business. But we are also convinced that our technology can make a real difference when people around the world are suddenly without safe drinking water.

Therefore, Xinix offers special pricing for organizations, authorities, and other actors involved in disaster relief, humanitarian efforts, and emergency preparedness.

Our ambition is simple: we want to be able to help at the lowest possible cost, while also ensuring that the arrangement is long-term sustainable for us as a company.

There is no standard solution. We prefer to help calculate the actual effort, how many people need to be supplied, how much water is needed, what local water sources are available, and what logistics are feasible.

This can range from smaller emergency stockpiles to larger humanitarian deliveries.

Contact us and we will work together to develop a solution that meets your needs.
