FreeBact® Surface, effective and gentle surface disinfection
FreeBact® Surface provides fast, effective, and environmentally friendly disinfection of all types of surfaces. The product inactivates ALL bacteria, viruses, fungi, and biofilm without damaging sensitive materials.
Unlike alcohol-based products, FreeBact® Surface is also effective against naked viruses, such as norovirus, which causes winter vomiting disease. The product is up to three times more effective than alcohol-based alternatives and maintains its efficacy where, for example, alcohol gel has no effect.
FreeBact® Surface has a broad effect against various types of microorganisms and viruses. The product has been tested against bacteria, fungi, viruses, and spores. This makes the product particularly relevant in environments where both enveloped viruses and more resistant naked viruses can occur.
FreeBact® Surface can be used as often as needed and leaves neither strong odor nor residues after application. The product is therefore a reliable alternative in healthcare environments, public areas, industries, and in everyday life.
The products can also be used to rinse fruit, vegetables, and other foodstuffs, as chlorine dioxide is approved by the Swedish Food Agency as a processing chemical for drinking water.
FreeBact® Surface is suitable for surfaces, taps, floor drains, and other environments where biofilm and microbial growth can occur. The product is gentle on materials and does not cause allergies, making it suitable in environments where frequent disinfection is required.
Current: Hantavirus and safe cleaning
Hantavirus can spread through dust from rodent urine, feces, or saliva. When cleaning cottages, storage rooms, basements, outbuildings, and other areas where rodents may have been present, dry sweeping should be avoided, and wet methods, protective equipment, and surface disinfection should be used instead.
FreeBact® Surface can be used for disinfection of surfaces in environments where there is a risk of contamination from rodents.
Can I use FreeBact® Surface OnTheGo on my hands?
FreeBact® Surface OnTheGo is intended for all types of surfaces. For a disinfectant product to be marketed for direct use on skin, a specific PT1 approval is required. This is something we are working on, but the approval process takes time.
The product is based on chlorine dioxide, a substance also used in drinking water treatment. Chlorine dioxide is approved as a processing chemical for drinking water by the Swedish Food Agency, and FreeBact® Water is used to make water safe to drink.
With that background, it is understandable that the question often arises. If a substance is used to make water safe to drink, it is natural that many also see it as a gentle alternative in other everyday situations. FreeBact® Surface is also up to three times more effective than regular alcohol gel and is effective even against naked viruses, such as norovirus, which causes winter vomiting disease. But until an official PT1 approval is in place, our communication is clear: FreeBact® Surface is for all types of surfaces.
