Many people, many hygiene needs
Buildings, schools and public spaces are used every day by many people. Drinking water must be safe, communal areas need to be kept hygienic and the building's water systems must function without recurring microbiological problems.
These needs also exist both in what people encounter every day and in the technical infrastructure behind the walls. Faucets, toilets, showers and contact surfaces are visible, while pipes, water heaters and other parts of the water system are rarely noticed until problems arise.
FreeBact® makes it possible to work with water, surfaces and water systems, as well as the disinfection of enclosed spaces, based on the needs of the property and the business.
Common challenges in buildings and public spaces
Large and complex buildings can have long pipe runs, varying water consumption, and parts of the system where water becomes stagnant at times. This can create conditions for biofilm and microbiological growth in the water system.
At the same time, door handles, tables, toilets, changing rooms, and other common areas are used by many people during the same day. In schools and public premises, high usage can make it particularly important to have effective hygiene routines.
The challenge, therefore, is not only what is visible, but maintaining good hygiene throughout the entire property, from the water pipes to the contact surfaces.
How FreeBact® helps
FreeBact® can be used at several levels within the same property. FreeBact® Water is used for drinking water disinfection, while FreeBact® Dosage enables continuous dosing in water systems where water hygiene needs to be managed over time.
FreeBact® Surface is used for the disinfection of surfaces and equipment, and FreeBact® Fogging enables rapid and comprehensive disinfection of enclosed spaces.
This makes it possible to work with multiple hygiene barriers in the same building, from the water in the pipes to the environments people use every day.

When the use changes
Schools, offices and public buildings are not always used in the same way throughout the year. During school holidays, holiday periods, renovations or extended shutdowns, parts of the water system may experience significantly lower circulation than normal.
When operations resume, it may be necessary to check and, if needed, treat the water system before the building returns to full use.
FreeBact® can be used both for targeted interventions and as part of preventive work to maintain good water hygiene over time.
