The active ingredient is chlorine dioxide, not chlorine FreeBact® Water is based on chlorine dioxide, ClO₂. Despite the name, chlorine dioxide is not the same as traditional chlorine and works differently when disinfecting water.

Chlorine dioxide is used as a disinfectant in drinking water treatment and is included in the Swedish Food Agency's regulations for the treatment of drinking water.

Shelf life and storage, unopened bottle
At least 2 years. Store the product in a dark place and avoid direct sunlight. Preferably store cool, ideally in the refrigerator, 2–8 °C, which extends the shelf life. The product is active as long as the solution is yellow.

The product is active as long as the solution is yellow, however, at least 30 days after opening.
2-K (2-Component)
For tanks, emergency water, businesses and larger volumes of water. Designed for effective treatment where many people depend on safe water.
