Traditional manual disinfection is both time-consuming and inconsistent. With an enhanced fogging solution, Swedish clean-tech company Xinix Global aims to make disinfection faster, more comprehensive, and cost-effective.

In healthcare environments, high demands are placed on hygiene and infection control, but disinfection often still occurs manually. This entails high personnel costs and the risk of inconsistent results, where bacteria and viruses can remain.Xinix has developed FreeBact® Fogging, where their disinfection solution is dispersed as a fine dry mist in an enclosed space. The particles are distributed throughout the room and reach hard-to-access surfaces.
– Instead of treating each surface, the mist is dispersed throughout the entire room, providing a more consistent disinfection, says Peter Holmberg. Furthermore, no post-wiping is required as the surfaces are completely dry.
Saves time and resources
Fogging is an established method, but this solution combines patented nozzle technology with Xinix's disinfectant solution FreeBact®, resulting in more effective, economical, and comprehensive disinfection. The technology is based on stabilized liquid chlorine dioxide.
The system combines a machine with patented nozzle technology, where the FreeBact disinfection solution is dispersed as a dry mist. The system is available in two portable models, for spaces up to 800 m³. When the solution is dispersed as a mist, bacteria and viruses in the air and on surfaces are inactivated.
– A typical patient room can be treated in about 9 minutes and used shortly thereafter, says Alexandra Németh, Marketing Manager.
This means reduced time consumption and more consistent disinfection, which can contribute to lower costs and a higher level of disinfection with reduced spread of infection as a result. The product is also approved according to EN 17272. (Test report 05/12/2025)
