Can you drink water from a lake or stream?

A clear stream in the middle of nature might look cleaner than the water from your kitchen tap.

Is running water safer than stagnant water?

Running water can, in some situations, have better conditions than small stagnant water bodies.

A stream could have received microbiological contamination just a few hundred meters upstream.

  • A road
  • A drain
